Monroe Fire District 3 serves the residents of Snohomish County Fire District 3 and the City of Monroe. The service area protected by Monroe Fire District 3 is 50 square miles and serves an estimated population of 30,000 residents. Monroe Fire utilizes a combination of Career and Volunteer Firefighters to efficiently deliver the best possible service to the residents of the Monroe Fire District.

MISSION STATEMENT

Monroe Fire District 3 is dedicated to protect life, property, and the environment through education, prevention, and emergency response to medical, fire and hazardous materials.

We strive to accomplish this mission by maintaining operational readiness, by providing a highly trained and physically fit workforce, by promoting safety in all endeavors, and providing the necessary resources to adequately protect those we serve.

Monroe Fire District 3 is holding three public meetings to share information with the community and answer questions about a proposed merger with Snohomish County Fire District 7. The meeting dates are listed below, as well as a link to view the "Press Release" pertaining to these meetings.

Pro/Con Committee for General Election 11/8/16

Snohomish County Fire District 3 will be asking voters to authorize a merger into Snohomish County Fire District 7 in the August 2nd Primary Election. If the merger vote fails by 3% we will resubmit the merger to be on the ballot for the November 8th General Elections. If the merger vote in August fails by more than 3%, we will be asking the voters to renew the Maintenance and Operations Levy in the November 8th General Election. We will not know the outcome of Primary Election until the evening of August 2nd. The resolution for the November 8th General Election is due by August 2nd.
